4 1-4 Door is moving stops and or reverses. Manually open and close the door. Checkfor binding or obstructions, such as a broken spring or door lock,
correctasneeded. Ifthe door is binding or sticking contact a trained door systemstechnician. Ifdoor is not
binding or sticking attemptto reprogramtravel (refer to page 24 ).
4 5 Opener runs approximately6-8", stops and reverses. Communication error to travel module. Check travel module connections, replace module ifnecessary.
4 6 The garage door opener will not close and the light
bulbs flash.
Safety sensors are misaligned or were momentarily obstructed. Realign both sensorsto ensure both LEDs
are steady and not flickering. Make sure nothing is hanging or mounted on the door thatwould interrupt
the sensor's path while closing.
The garage door openercan beep for several reasons:
• (If applicable) Operating on battery power or the 12 Vdc batteryneeds to be replaced,
see page 27.
• Garage door opener hasbeen activated through a device or feature such asTimer-to-
Close, garage door monitor or LiftMaster Internet Gateway,see page 29.
My remote control will not activate the garage door:
• Verifythe lock feature is notactivated on the door control.
• Reprogram the remote control.
• Ifthe remote control will still not activate the door checkthe diagnostic codes to ensure
the garage door opener isworking properly.
My door will not close and the light bulbs blink on my motorunit:
The safetyreversing sensor must be connected and aligned correctly before the garage
door opener will move in the down direction.
• Verifythe safetysensors are properly installed,aligned and free of any obstructions.
My garage door opener light(s) willnot turn off whenthe door is open:
The garage door opener is equipped with a feature that turns the lighton when the safetyreversing sensors
have been obstructed or when the motion sensor on the door control detectsmovementin the garage. These
features can be disabled using the door control,see page 31 .
My neighbor’s remote control opens my garage door:
Erase the memory from your garage door opener and reprogramthe remote control(s).
The LEDs on the door controlblink:
If you have a Smart Control Panel installed and the TTC is set to a custom time,pressthe ONbutton on the
PremiumMotion-Detecting Control Panel to set the time properly.
